Jake Paul and Logan Paul previously hinted at fighting each other, but these public displays were primarily marketing stunts for their HBO Max reality show, *Paul American*.
Despite these earlier marketing efforts, the brothers have genuinely discussed fighting. They both began their careers around the same time, effectively pioneering influencer boxing. Currently, Logan is focusing on professional wrestling, while Jake has remained in boxing, boasting an 11-1 record and a scheduled bout against Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. in June.
The idea of them facing off persists, but Logan suggests a boxing match is unlikely, though he might consider a different combat sport.
On his podcast, Logan stated he wouldn`t fight Jake “unless it`s MMA,” adding:
“He`d definitely win [in boxing] at this point. He`s got a heavy hand. We would need an insane amount of money.”
Although Jake signed with the PFL with plans to transition to MMA, this seems increasingly improbable as he continues to focus on boxing.
Logan himself mentioned on his podcast that he contacted UFC CEO Dana White regarding a potential fight in the octagon, but received little response, indicating the promotion wasn`t keen on the idea.
While a Paul vs. Paul fight seems improbable, Logan did make a significant effort to arrange a boxing match between Jake and his former adversary turned business associate, KSI.
Logan entered the boxing world with two fights against KSI, who later launched his own promotion, Misfits Boxing.
Logan and KSI have long resolved their rivalry and even partnered on a successful energy drink company, but discussions about a potential fight between Jake Paul and KSI have continued.
Logan revealed he actively tried to arrange a fight between Jake and KSI, but a key issue prevented it.
“I tried,” Logan stated. “I gave it 110 percent effort… it has come down to a weight disagreement.”
He elaborated on the specific weight issue:
“KSI was willing to go up to 190 pounds, and Jake would come down to 192.5 pounds. That`s only a two-and-a-half-pound difference. [But] Jake is a heavyweight fighter who has never cut weight, and cutting weight significantly impacts performance. Jake walks around at 225 pounds, so cutting 30 pounds is a major challenge. Conversely, KSI walks around at 180-185 pounds, so gaining weight also affects him.”
Logan believes the weight difference ultimately scuttled the potential Jake vs. KSI fight, and he doubts either party is interested in revisiting discussions.
“So KSI would be slower by gaining weight, and Jake would be drained by cutting weight,” Paul explained. “I understand both perspectives. It feels very unfortunate. I don`t know if it will ever happen.”
