The status of a key Tampa Bay Lightning forward remains uncertain until just before Game 2 begins.
Coach Jon Cooper announced that Anthony Cirelli`s availability for Thursday`s match against the Florida Panthers will be a game-time decision. Cirelli was injured during Game 1 (undisclosed).
A final decision on his participation will be made after he attempts to take part in warmups.
Tampa Bay lost Game 1 to the Panthers 6-2.
Cirelli, aged 27, seemed to get hurt early in the second period following a hit. He went to the locker room, returned briefly, but did not play in the third period.
He logged only 6 minutes and 21 seconds of ice time and had a minus-2 rating.
The forward from Etobicoke, Ontario, posted 27 goals and 32 assists over 80 games this season.
Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT in Tampa Bay.
