UFC 317, scheduled for this weekend, has experienced a late alteration to its fight lineup just days before the pay-per-view event.
Sedriques Dumas has been withdrawn from his scheduled middleweight bout against Jackson McVey for reasons that have not been disclosed. An undefeated newcomer, Christopher Ewert, will step in as the replacement.

Ewert made his professional debut in December 2022 and makes a rapid ascent to the UFC stage in under three years for the promotion`s annual International Fight Week card. The 31-year-old was initially slated to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series in August but will now look to improve his record to 8-0 directly in the Octagon. Ewert`s recent fights include a first-round knockout win and a decision victory competing under the Fury FC banner.
Opponent Jackson McVey
His opponent, Jackson McVey, has yet to see the second round in his six professional fights, having finished every one of his opponents in the opening frame. The 26-year-old`s bouts have only gone beyond the two-minute mark on one occasion.
