KSI and Dillon Danis have both issued responses following the postponement of their Misfits Boxing 21 event.
Organizers announced on Friday that KSI’s illness caused the postponement of the event, initially planned for March 29th in Manchester, England. The new date is anticipated to be announced next week. This marks the second scheduling attempt for the KSI vs. Danis fight, and future rescheduling is uncertain.
KSI released a video on social media to explain the postponement, making his first public statement on the matter.
KSI stated, “I gave it my all, but my body simply couldn’t continue. I’m currently bedridden, taking antibiotics to recover, but it’s a struggle. I’m constantly coughing up phlegm… I attempted sparring and training, but my body feels weak, and my stamina is rapidly declining.”
Unsurprisingly, Danis showed no sympathy for his opponent’s situation.
Both KSI and Danis last competed at The Prime Card in October 2023, where they both experienced defeats.
KSI concluded his statement expressing hope for rescheduling to fulfill his promise to defeat Danis in the ring. “I want to reschedule the fight because I still intend to knock out Dillon Danis,” KSI affirmed. “My training was not in vain.”
