UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov has extended an offer to train former professional soccer player Patrice Evra as he prepares for his upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) on May 23.
Evra, a former star for Manchester United and the French National Team, recently announced his plans to compete in MMA. He emphasized to Nurmagomedov that he is serious about the venture, not just seeking attention. He expressed deep respect for the sport and Nurmagomedov, stating his desire to train with “the best” to prepare adequately.
Nurmagomedov, a noted soccer enthusiast, readily agreed to assist, particularly now that both are reportedly residing in Dubai. He playfully reiterated his well-known phrase, “Send me location,” and promised to guide Evra, saying he would teach him “how to smash people.”
Since retiring from fighting, Nurmagomedov has become a highly regarded coach, mentoring top fighters including UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and PFL lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov. Known for his intense training methods and dedication, Khabib appears willing to add Evra to his training circle whenever their schedules align.
He concluded by expressing his hope for Evra`s improvement and looked forward to receiving the location to train together.
Patrice Evra`s PFL debut is scheduled for May 23rd at the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
