The Winnipeg Jets` top defenseman, Josh Morrissey, is officially set to return for Friday`s crucial Game 2 matchup against the Dallas Stars.
Morrissey participated in pre-game warmups, and the team confirmed he would be in the lineup for the game.
Earlier on Friday, head coach Scott Arniel had indicated Morrissey would `probably` return when questioned about his status.
Morrissey missed Game 1 of the series due to an upper-body injury. He sustained the injury in the first period of Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues following a hit into the boards by Oskar Sundqvist.
The 30-year-old defenseman recorded three assists and averaged 23:30 of ice time in the first six games of the Jets` first-round series. During the regular season, Morrissey posted 14 goals and 48 assists in 80 games.
Dallas secured a 3-2 victory in Game 1 on Wednesday.
Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. CT.
