John Tavares` impressive goal-scoring streak has earned him league-wide recognition.

The Toronto Maple Leafs center was honored as the second star of the month on Tuesday, following Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights and preceding Jordan Binnington, the goalie for the St. Louis Blues.

Tavares scored an NHL-best 13 goals in March, making it the highest number of goals by any player in a single calendar month this season.

His remarkable scoring spree featured a five-game goal streak, which concluded on Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks.

In March, Tavares also achieved his 1,100th point in his NHL career. Additionally, the first overall pick from the 2009 draft is nearing the 500-goal milestone, currently sitting at 498 goals.

During March, the Toronto Maple Leafs had a record of 8 wins, 5 losses, and 2 overtime losses. They currently hold a three-point lead in the Atlantic Division as they approach a crucial game against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday.

Jack Eichel topped the league with 23 points over 14 games, helping the Golden Knights secure a playoff spot.

Jordan Binnington, known for his strong performance for Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off, continued his form by winning eight out of nine starts for the Blues, who are on a nine-game winning streak as they enter April.
