Joe Rogan is confirmed to be back on the commentary team for the upcoming UFC 316 broadcast, scheduled for this Saturday, taking place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The popular podcaster and long-time color commentator missed UFC 315 when the promotion traveled to Canada but will rejoin play-by-play commentator Jon Anik and UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier to call the action inside the octagon.

UFC officials confirmed these broadcast plans earlier in the week.

The core three-man commentary booth will be supplemented by additional analysts for the event. Boxing icon Teddy Atlas is set to serve as one of the lead analysts for the fights. He will be joined by recently retired UFC fighter Anthony Smith and Chael Sonnen, who will also provide analysis throughout the night.

Karyn Bryant will handle reporting duties live from inside the arena, while Din Thomas will serve as the broadcast coach, offering insights and technical analysis during the bouts.

UFC 316 features a main event double-header focusing on the bantamweight divisions. In the headliner, Merab Dvalishvili will make his second title defense, facing off in a highly anticipated rematch against Sean O’Malley, the fighter he originally defeated to capture the belt. This will be O`Malley`s first appearance since their previous encounter last September.

In the co-main event, Julianna Pena makes her first defense of the women’s bantamweight title against two-time Olympic judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison. Harrison enters the fight with a perfect 2-0 record in the UFC, having secured a dominant victory over former champion Holly Holm at UFC 300.
