Defenceman Josh Morrissey of the Winnipeg Jets is likely to return to the ice for the second game of their crucial series against the Dallas Stars.
When questioned about Morrissey`s potential participation in Friday night`s game, head coach Scott Arniel`s response was `probably`.
Morrissey was absent from Game 1 of the series due to an upper-body injury.
The injury occurred during the first period of Game 7 in the previous round against the St. Louis Blues, after he was hit into the boards by Oskar Sundqvist.
In the first six playoff games, the 30-year-old blueliner recorded three assists, averaging 23 minutes and 30 seconds of ice time. During the regular season, Morrissey posted 14 goals and 48 assists over 80 appearances.
Dallas secured a 3-2 victory in Game 1 on Wednesday, powered in part by Mikko Rantanen`s second consecutive hat trick.
Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. CT.
