Jeff Skinner, a seasoned NHL player with 1,078 games under his belt, is about to experience something new: the playoffs.
After 15 seasons, Skinner will finally participate in the electrifying atmosphere of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as his Edmonton Oilers face off against the Los Angeles Kings in Game 1 of their first-round series on Monday.
Joining Edmonton as a free agent last summer, Skinner was motivated by the opportunity to contend for a championship.
“Coming to Edmonton, I knew we had a strong team and I wanted to contribute to our playoff aspirations,” Skinner stated on Sunday.
“It`s a great feeling. We`ve worked hard throughout the year to reach this point, and now we`re focused on making a deep playoff run.”
