Jake Paul will return to boxing this summer.
Promoters have confirmed that Paul will fight former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a cruiserweight bout. The event is scheduled for June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The fight will be available on DAZN pay-per-view.
Ring Magazine initially reported this fight.
This will be Paul`s first fight in 2025, following his victory over Mike Tyson in November. After losing to Tommy Fury in February 2023, Paul has won five consecutive fights, including wins against Nate Diaz and Mike Perry.
Before this fight was arranged, there were discussions about a Paul vs. Canelo Alvarez fight in May, but it didn`t happen because Alvarez signed with Riyadh Season.
Chavez Jr. is on a two-fight win streak, including a win over former UFC fighter Uriah Hall last July. He also fought Anderson Silva in 2021, losing by decision.
The co-main event will feature Gilberto Ramirez against Yuniel Dorticos for a cruiserweight championship.
