Internet personality and professional boxer Jake Paul has achieved a significant milestone in his burgeoning career by officially becoming a ranked fighter.
Following a series of recent victories, Paul has been placed at No. 14 in the World Boxing Association`s (WBA) most recent cruiserweight division rankings. This marks his formal entry into the rankings of a major sanctioning body.
This ranking positions “The Problem Child” closer to his stated goal of competing for a world championship. The 28-year-old currently holds a professional record of 12 wins and 1 loss, his only defeat being a split decision against Tommy Fury in February 2023.
Since that loss, Paul has secured six consecutive victories. These include a unanimous decision win over former UFC standout Nate Diaz, achieved six months after the Fury bout, followed by consecutive first-round knockouts against professional boxers Andre August in December 2023 and Ryan Bourland in March 2024.
His successful run in 2024 continued with two more fights. Paul defeated BKFC competitor Mike Perry by sixth-round TKO in a dominant showing. Originally scheduled to face Mike Tyson, Perry stepped in after Tyson experienced a health issue. The highly anticipated bout between Paul and the legendary Mike Tyson was later rescheduled for November, where Paul won by unanimous decision in an event widely watched on Netflix.
