However, the British No.1 tennis player acknowledges that he doesn`t quite embody the `Big D` persona his fans have given him.

In an old interview from 2023, when the `Big D` nickname was first mentioned to him, he responded: “Big D!

“It’s a shame because I don’t have one. Sorry!”

Draper has often received positive comments about his name, which sounds like it could belong to a James Bond character.

He mentioned: “People often say, ‘Oh, I like your name, Jack Draper.’”

“Many international people also tell me, ‘I love your name, it’s amazing.’”

Draper recently won his first ATP Masters 1000 title with a dominant victory over Holger Rune at Indian Wells.

After his quick win against the Danish player, he commented: “Winning here feels incredible.”

“I`ve been watching this tournament since I was young, seeing all the champions play on this court.

It honestly means the world to me to become a champion here.

“This is definitely a huge moment for me. Getting into the top 10 and winning my first Masters title really boosts my self-belief and confidence.

“I came into today knowing it was a final.

“Actually, I felt a bit nervous before playing, but once I was on the court, I felt amazing.

“I felt in control and knew exactly what I needed to do.”
