Veteran NHL forward Gustav Nyquist has found his new team.

The 35-year-old has signed a one-year contract worth $3.25 million with the Winnipeg Jets, the team announced.

Nyquist split last season between the Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild, recording 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 79 games.

This follows his career-best 75-point performance with the Predators in the 2023-24 season.

Originally a fourth-round pick by the Detroit Red Wings in 2008, Nyquist spent his first eight NHL seasons with the Red Wings. His career also includes stints with the San Jose Sharks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, and Nashville Predators before joining the Jets.
