The Vegas Golden Knights are strengthening their goaltending position as they head into the post-season.
The Golden Knights announced on Thursday the signing of goaltender Cameron Whitehead to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Prior to signing, Whitehead played college hockey for Northeastern University, where he played in 35 games last season, achieving a record of 13 wins, 17 losses, and 3 overtime losses. He maintained a goals-against average of 2.74 and a save percentage of .911.
The 21-year-old played a key role in his team reaching the semifinals of the 2025 Hockey East conference tournament, including a victory over the top-seeded Boston College. Northeastern was ultimately defeated by the University of Maine.
Whitehead was drafted by the Golden Knights in the fourth round, 128th overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft.
