
Amid uncertainty regarding veteran defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, the Golden Knights have secured one of their young blueliners for the foreseeable future.
Defenseman Kaedan Korczak has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Golden Knights, valued at $13 million total with an average annual value (AAV) of $3.25 million. The team made the announcement on Wednesday.
This new agreement will keep Korczak with the team through the 2029-30 season.
Korczak, 24, appeared in a career-high 40 games for the Golden Knights last season, recording 10 assists and finishing with a +15 rating.
Originally from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Korczak was selected by Vegas 41st overall in the second round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
Across his NHL career since being drafted, Korczak has accumulated one goal and 20 assists in 77 games played.
