Gadzhi Rabadanov continued his winning streak after securing the 2024 PFL championship, achieving a spectacular knockout against former UFC competitor Marc Diakiese in a mere 32 seconds at Friday`s PFL 3 co-main event.
The fight concluded rapidly when Diakiese attempted a kick, aiming to utilize his striking expertise against Rabadanov. However, this tactic backfired dramatically. Rabadanov effectively caught the kick, swiftly transitioned into a takedown, and immediately unleashed a barrage of powerful punches.
Rabadanov`s strikes proved decisive, with a strong right hand connecting forcefully and causing Diakiese to lose consciousness as he collapsed onto the mat. The referee promptly intervened to halt the fight.
Diakiese remained on the ground for a short period before eventually being assisted to a stool.
The fight concluded in just 32 seconds, with Rabadanov securing a brutal knockout victory.
“This is sport, and I respect all my opponents,” Rabadanov commented following his latest triumph. “Of course, my motivation is high. I need to demonstrate that I deserve to be competing here. My preparation was thorough, and it was successful.”
He further added, “He has a family and supporters, which I understand. I have no intention to harm anyone; my only goal is to win.”
Currently on an impressive 11-fight win streak, including five consecutive wins in the PFL, Rabadanov is considered a top contender to win the ongoing PFL lightweight tournament. His next challenge will be against Jay-Jay Wilson in the semi-finals.
