Reinforcements might be arriving for the Winnipeg Jets as they look to extend their lead in the series against the St. Louis Blues.
Forward Gabriel Vilardi`s availability for Game 4 against the Blues will be a game-time decision, the team announced after practice on Saturday. He has been sidelined for the past month.
Vilardi initially returned to practice earlier in the week, but Saturday`s session was the first time he skated in a regular jersey, indicating progress beyond non-contact drills.
The 25-year-old forward has been out of the lineup since March 23 due to an upper-body injury. At the time, his status was initially listed as week-to-week.
Despite missing the latter part of the regular season schedule, Vilardi had a productive second year playing for the Jets. He recorded 27 goals and added 34 assists over the 71 games he appeared in.
The Jets currently hold a 2-1 advantage in the series. They will aim to build on their lead when Game 4 takes place on Saturday, with the puck scheduled to drop at 1 p.m. ET / noon CT.
