Jose Aldo`s recent bout at UFC 315 will undoubtedly be a subject of discussion for years to come, and not solely for expected reasons.
The legendary former featherweight champion faced Aiemann Zahabi on the main card Saturday and lost a contentious split decision. Zahabi was awarded the victory with three scorecards reading 29-28 after a fiercely contested three-round affair. Both competitors had critical moments, threatening to end the fight in the dramatic third round – Aldo staggered Zahabi with an early head kick, while Zahabi nearly secured a ground-and-pound finish late.
Despite surviving to hear the final horn, Aldo did not receive the judges` favorable scores, resulting in his third decision loss in his last four fights.
The decision quickly sparked widespread anger across social media platforms. Among the critics was Renato Moicano, who sharply described the scoring as a “f*cking robbery.” However, the conversation rapidly shifted to the actions of the 38-year-old Aldo, who was seen removing his gloves following the official announcement of the result.
