Emma Raducanu found humor in her own forgetfulness, admitting she has repeatedly faced issues entering the Italian Open grounds because she keeps misplacing her tournament accreditation.

Her predicament was even highlighted by the tournament officials, much to her amusement.

The British player admitted to frequently losing her access pass for the Italian Open.

Despite these off-court mishaps, Raducanu has performed well on the court, securing her spot in the third round in Rome with victories against Maya Joint and Jil Teichmann.

Following her second win, during a post-match interview with Sky Sports, she couldn`t hold back her laughter when her tendency to lose things was brought up.

Tournament accreditation is essential for security, required for players, coaches, media, and staff to access the grounds and verify their identity.

Ironically, while her performance on court is improving, she seems to be having trouble holding onto her entry passes off court.

Interviewer Karthi Gnanasegaram asked about her losing her accreditation so often, jokingly asking if she was top of the list for such incidents. This question prompted Raducanu to laugh heartily.

She responded with humor, saying, “Yeah, well, I`ve won something this week already. So I was the first person to lose my accreditation. And then I lost the second accreditation. And then I got exposed on the board at the entrance.”

She added, “It`s not ideal but to be honest it pretty much sums me up.”

This isn`t the first time Raducanu`s forgetful or quirky habits have come to light. Last year, her friend revealed she relies on “Find My Friends” daily. Earlier this year, Raducanu mentioned her habit of taking late-night walks around 11 pm, adding unsurely, “I don`t know if that is smart or not…”

Despite her humorous struggles with tournament passes, Raducanu is aiming for success on the court and hopes the misplaced accreditations aren`t the only notable outcome of her time in Rome.

She is set to play world No. 49 Veronika Kudermetova for a spot in the last 16. This match is scheduled for Sunday.
