The Edmonton Oilers have bolstered their defensive prospects by signing Damien Carfagna, a promising young defenseman.
Carfagna, 22, has agreed to a two-year entry-level contract with the Oilers, which will commence in the 2025-26 NHL season. The announcement was made on Monday by the team.
During his two seasons at Ohio State University, Carfagna demonstrated his offensive capabilities from the blue line, accumulating 9 goals and 34 points. Prior to joining Ohio State, he played for the University of New Hampshire.
Ohio State`s season recently concluded with a loss to Boston University in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.
