The Edmonton Oilers` significant defeat to the Florida Panthers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday proved particularly costly for one individual player.

According to an announcement from the NHL Department of Player Safety on Tuesday, Jake Walman has been issued fines for two separate incidents that occurred during the 6-1 routing.

Walman received one fine of $5,000 for roughing Florida forward Matthew Tkachuk. The second fine, also $5,000, was for unsportsmanlike conduct stemming from an interaction with the Panthers` bench.

Both penalties incurred represent the maximum allowable fines as stipulated under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
