Exciting news has arrived for the Poirier family, with another addition expected towards the end of the year.
Shortly after Dustin Poirier announced his upcoming retirement bout against Max Holloway for the BMF title at UFC 318 in July, his wife Jolie shared equally significant news: they are expecting their second child. The newest member of the family is due to arrive in December.
Sharing the joyous news, Jolie Poirier stated, “Fight news wasn’t the only secret we were keeping from you… WE’RE HAVING A BABY! Sweet P will be a BIG SISTER FINALLY.”
“The Diamond” is preparing for his final appearance in the octagon as the main event of the UFC’s July pay-per-view card, which is conveniently located near his home in New Orleans. This highly anticipated fight will be the third meeting between Poirier and Holloway. Poirier was victorious in their previous encounters, including Holloway’s UFC debut in 2012 and their interim lightweight championship clash headlining UFC 236.
Max Holloway secured the BMF title with a spectacular and memorable knockout victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in April 2024, setting the stage for this trilogy fight with Poirier.
