The New Jersey Devils have officially signed a former second-round draft pick.

Forward Lenni Hameenaho has agreed to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced on Thursday.

The 20-year-old Hameenaho was originally selected 58th overall by the Devils in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

He has spent the past six seasons developing his skills while playing professionally in his native Finland. During the most recent season with Ässät, the right-shot forward recorded a career-high offensive output with 20 goals and 31 assists for a total of 51 points across 58 regular-season games.

Hameenaho has also represented Finland on the international stage, competing in the 2023 and 2024 IIHF World Junior Championships. He is currently a member of Finland`s roster participating in the ongoing IIHF World Championship.
