
The New Jersey Devils have secured a depth forward for another season.
The team announced on Thursday that Nathan Légaré has re-signed with the Devils on a one-year, two-way contract.
The terms of Légaré`s deal include a salary of $775,000 at the NHL level and $125,000 in the AHL, with a total guaranteed amount of $140,000.
Légaré, who is 24 years old, appeared in three games for the Devils during the past season, which were the first NHL games of his career. He did not register any points in these appearances.
Playing primarily in the American Hockey League, the right winger recorded 25 points, consisting of 17 goals and eight assists, over 69 games for the Utica Comets.
Légaré originally joined the Devils organization in March 2024 after being acquired from the Montreal Canadiens. A native of Montreal, he was initially drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
