The Dallas Stars might be getting a key player back as they prepare to face the Winnipeg Jets, who won the Presidents` Trophy this season.

Forward Jason Robertson, sidelined by a knee injury since April 16, is listed as a game-time decision for the first game of the series. Stars head coach Peter DeBoer provided this update after Wednesday morning`s skate.

The 25-year-old forward participated in the team`s optional practice session, suggesting his potential return is near.

However, coach DeBoer also confirmed that defenseman Miro Heiskanen will not play in Game 1. Heiskanen has been out of the lineup since January 28.

Robertson skated with teammates Wyatt Johnston and Mason Marchment during Tuesday`s practice, indicating his potential readiness. This season, he was a significant offensive contributor for Dallas, finishing second on the team with 80 points, including a team-leading 35 goals.

The Winnipeg Jets are hosting the Dallas Stars for Game 1 of their second-round playoff series on Wednesday.
