WINNIPEG — Cole Perfetti has truly become a key player for the Winnipeg Jets.
He has transitioned from being an inconsistent scorer to a reliable top-six forward. No longer just a power-play specialist or a supporting player, Perfetti now consistently impacts the game.
Perfetti has matured into a significant offensive force capable of changing the game`s momentum.
His remarkable goal on Sunday perfectly illustrates this progress, sealing the Winnipeg Jets` 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.
Late in the third period, Perfetti skillfully outmaneuvered Derek Forbort, threading the puck between the defender`s legs. As he fell, he managed to lift the puck into the top corner of the net, past Vancouver goalie Thatcher Demko.
“Everyone exchanged amazed looks,” commented Mason Appleton. “Goals like that are rare.”
