CM Punk Responds to Seth Rollins’ UFC Fight Callout

Sports news » CM Punk Responds to Seth Rollins’ UFC Fight Callout

CM Punk chuckled at Seth Rollins challenging him to a UFC fight before their big match at WrestleMania 41.

Punk, who fought in the UFC twice after leaving WWE for a decade, addressed Rollins` challenge. Rollins said he`d train for MMA just to settle things with Punk in a real fight. Rollins, without MMA experience, claimed he`d prepare fully to face Punk in the cage.

Rollins mentioned he`d only do it for Punk, not others in his weight class, urging UFC president Dana White to make it happen for profit.

Their dislike is well-known in WWE, but Punk responded to Rollins` fight wish by pointing to their upcoming WrestleMania match in Las Vegas.

“I’m going to punch this guy on Saturday,” Punk stated on The Ringer Wrestling Show. Regarding the MMA fight talk, Punk invited Rollins to “hell” on Saturday.

Punk famously joined UFC in 2014 after leaving WWE, debuting in 2016. He lost his first fight to Mickey Gall and his second to Mike Jackson in 2018, though that was overturned due to Jackson`s marijuana positive test.

Despite being an MMA fan—even expressing sympathy for Diego Lopes after his UFC 314 loss—Punk is now fully focused on his professional wrestling career.

However, Punk remains connected to his MMA training partners, including UFC champion Belal Muhammad, suggesting a UFC return isn`t impossible.

“I value my MMA experience,” Punk said. “I appreciate being underestimated because of it. I see it as a great advantage.”

Punk will face Rollins and Roman Reigns in a triple threat main event on the first night of WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
