Chase Hooper is scheduled to compete in Chicago, often referred to as the “Windy City,” on another upcoming pay-per-view event.
Sources familiar with the promotion`s plans have confirmed that a lightweight clash between Hooper and Alexander Hernandez is booked for UFC 319. The event is slated to take place at the United Center in Chicago. This bout was initially reported by McGregorRousey2 on Twitter.
Hooper enters this contest on the strength of an impressive five-fight winning streak since moving up from the featherweight division to the 155-pound lightweight class. Kicking off his 2025 campaign, “The Dream” earned a unanimous decision victory against veteran Jim Miller at UFC 314 in April. The 25-year-old has also secured submission finishes in three of his last four appearances.
Hernandez is preparing for his 16th walk to the octagon and is currently enjoying his first consecutive wins since his initial two bouts under the UFC banner. In his two most recent outings, “The Great Ape” secured decision victories over Austin Hubbard and Kurt Holobaugh.
UFC 319 is set to be headlined by a highly anticipated middleweight championship encounter featuring Dricus du Plessis against the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.
