UFC fighter Charles Oliveira has been announced as the recipient of the 2025 Forrest Griffin Community Award.

Presented annually during International Fight Week, the Forrest Griffin Community Award is personally selected by UFC CEO Dana White to recognize fighters for their significant charitable contributions. Oliveira`s selection was revealed during Saturday’s UFC Kansas City event, honoring his impactful work with the Charles doBronxs Institute. This institute provides hundreds of local young people with opportunities for a better future by offering free programs focused on arts, education, nutrition, and jiu-jitsu.

Oliveira is set to formally receive the award at the 2025 UFC Hall of Fame ceremony scheduled for June.

Speaking about Oliveira`s recognition, UFC CEO Dana White commented, “Charles is not only a great athlete, but he’s also an amazing role model who enjoys giving back to the community. Charles does a great job of helping local youth in Sao Paulo by providing them with free education and jiu-jitsu training at his institute, and he’s directly helping them create a better life for themselves in the process. It’s an honor to present him with his award.”

As part of the award, the former UFC lightweight champion will also receive a $25,000 donation from the UFC Foundation, designated for the charity of his choice.

Oliveira is currently awaiting his next fight announcement, following his recent dominant decision victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 309, which took place last November.
