Two important forwards for the Vancouver Canucks, Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander, were not present at the team`s practice session on Sunday.

Pettersson and Hoglander both missed the Canucks` practice in New Jersey. It is still unclear whether they will be able to play in Monday`s game against the Devils.

The players were injured in Saturday`s game against the New York Rangers. Pettersson left the game in the second period after appearing uncomfortable. Hoglander also exited the game early, having played just over seven minutes.

Aatu Raty, a forward from the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL, has been called up as a precaution but did not participate in Sunday`s practice. Defenseman Elias Pettersson took on a forward role during practice to fill the gap.

This season, Pettersson has scored 15 goals and accumulated 45 points in 63 games. He had been performing well recently, earning points in the five games leading up to Saturday.

Hoglander has scored six goals and 21 points this season, with six of those points coming in his last five games.
