Vancouver – Jake DeBrusk scored the decisive goal in overtime as the Vancouver Canucks rallied to beat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 on Monday.

Brock Boeser`s shot missed the net but bounced favorably off the boards to DeBrusk, who capitalized with 17.6 seconds remaining in overtime. This was DeBrusk`s 28th goal of the season.

Linus Karlsson scored his third of the season in the third period, putting the Canucks (38-29-14) on the scoreboard. Goaltender Nikita Tolopilo celebrated his NHL debut with a victory, stopping 15 out of 16 shots.

For the Sharks (21-49-11), rookie Macklin Celebrini scored his 25th goal of the season on a power play in the second period. Goalie Alexandar Georgiev made an impressive 35 saves despite the loss.

Jake DeBrusk`s overtime goal secured a Canucks victory over the Sharks, while Nikita Tolopilo earned his first NHL win with 15 saves.
