Suzuki`s decisive goal, a snap shot, came with 17:58 remaining in the third period, pushing the Canadiens ahead 3-2. Assists on the goal were credited to Juraj Slafkovsky and Lane Hutson.

Other goals for the Canadiens were scored by Patrik Laine, Brendan Gallagher, and Slafkovsky.
