Big Face Coffee: Warriors Employees Face Upcharge

Sports news ยป Big Face Coffee: Warriors Employees Face Upcharge

Jimmy Butler`s coffee shop is jokingly charging extra for Golden State Warriors employees.

On Tuesday, Jimmy Butler III will play against his former team in Miami. Employees of the Golden State Warriors wanting to buy coffee from Butler`s Miami shop will face higher prices.

The first physical location of Butler`s brand, `Big Face Coffee,` opened in December in Miami`s Design District.

This past Sunday, Butler announced via his Instagram story that Warriors employees will have to pay more for coffee at his shop. Regular prices range from $4 to $10 per drink, according to a menu on Yelp.

The Warriors obtained Butler at the NBA trade deadline following his controversial trade request from the Heat. The six-time All-Star was suspended three times by Miami before the trade.

Butler started his Big Face Coffee brand in the NBA Bubble in 2020. He famously charged $20 per cup, regardless of size or type, for French press coffee.

This idea developed into a store, which officially opened on December 6, 2024.

“It`s surreal because this is another thing I aimed to do, and I went ahead and made it happen,” Butler told NBC News earlier this month. “For me, this story is about having a dream, working towards it, and then one day, boom, here we are with a coffee shop.”

This season, Butler is averaging 17.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 19 games for the Warriors.
