Montreal, Quebec – The highly anticipated UFC 315 event is rapidly approaching, and the headlining fighters, Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena, appear fully prepared for their showdown.
The event is set for Saturday at the Bell Centre in Montreal, headlined by the welterweight championship bout between Muhammad and Della Maddalena. The final staredown occurred on Friday during the ceremonial weigh-ins, where both competitors displayed intense focus and readiness ahead of stepping into the octagon.
Following the faceoff, Muhammad addressed the gathered crowd, declaring, “Jack is a dead man walking. Tomorrow, and still, inshallah! You guys are gonna witness greatness, baby!”
Muhammad enters the octagon with an impressive 11-fight unbeaten streak, making his first defense of the welterweight title. He originally captured the championship with a dominant decision victory over Leon Edwards at UFC 304. Muhammad was initially scheduled to defend against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, but withdrew due to injury. Rakhmonov also subsequently withdrew from UFC 315 due to injury, paving the way for Della Maddalena to receive this title opportunity.
The co-main event features women`s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko defending her recently regained title against Manon Fiorot. Shevchenko won the belt back with a decision victory over Alexa Grasso at UFC 306, ending their rivalry. Fiorot boasts an undefeated 7-0 record in the UFC and earned her title shot by defeating Erin Blanchfield in March 2024.
