Colorado Avalanche forward Logan O`Connor will likely be sidelined for a minimum of five months after undergoing hip surgery this past Friday.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Bryan Kelly in New York City.

The 28-year-old forward is coming off a season where he recorded 10 goals and 11 assists across 80 regular-season games. During the first-round playoff series against Dallas, which went seven games, he added two goals.

Notably, O`Connor also underwent hip surgery in March 2024. He signed a six-year contract extension with the Avalanche in September of the previous year.

Prior to his professional career, O`Connor played for three seasons at the University of Denver, where he was part of the Pioneers team that secured an NCAA championship title in the 2016-17 season.
