Despite maintaining consistent forward lines throughout the season, the Winnipeg Jets coach has shown a talent for making timely adjustments when necessary.
During the third period of Sunday`s 5-3 defeat against the Buffalo Sabres, Arniel`s strategic line changes — substituting Nikolaj Ehlers for Nino Niederreiter to play alongside Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton — led to a critical goal with 3:28 remaining in regulation time.
Ehlers skillfully carried the puck from one end of the ice to the other and scored with his signature powerful shot from the left side, narrowing the score to 4-3.
