
Anthony Beauvillier will remain with the Washington Capitals. The team announced Thursday that the forward has signed a two-year contract extension valued at $5.5 million, carrying an annual average value (AAV) of $2.75 million.
Beauvillier concluded the past season as a member of the Capitals roster. Washington acquired him in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins in March.
During the 2023-24 NHL season, the 28-year-old winger also played for the Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks, and Nashville Predators before landing in Pittsburgh and then Washington.
Last season, Beauvillier registered a combined total of 15 goals and 10 assists across 81 games played for both the Penguins and the Capitals.
Over his entire NHL career, Beauvillier has played 631 games, tallying 131 goals and 140 assists for a total of 271 points. His career has included stints with the New York Islanders, Canucks, Blackhawks, Predators, Penguins, and Capitals.
Beauvillier, a native of Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, was originally selected by the New York Islanders 28th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
