The Anaheim Ducks have officially re-signed goaltender Ville Husso to a new two-year contract agreement. The team confirmed the transaction on Sunday.
Husso, age 30, originally joined the Ducks organization in February through a trade with the Detroit Red Wings, with future considerations being sent back to Detroit. In his four appearances playing for Anaheim, Husso posted a record of 1-1-1, along with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage.
Across his total of 13 games played for both the Red Wings and the Ducks during the past season, his overall record was 2-6-3.
The native of Helsinki, Finland, holds a career NHL record of 71-46-19 over 145 regular-season games played for the St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings, and Anaheim Ducks. His career statistics include seven shutouts, a 3.05 goals-against average, and a .901 save percentage.
Husso was initially selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He was also a member of the Finnish national team that won the gold medal at the World Junior Championship in 2014.
