Brazilian strawweights Amanda Ribas and Tabatha Ricci are reportedly scheduled to compete on the undercard of UFC 318.
The highly anticipated pay-per-view event is set for July 19th in New Orleans, Louisiana. The show is expected to be headlined by a third meeting between Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway for the BMF title, a bout Poirier has indicated will be his retirement fight.
Ribas holds a professional record of 12-6, with a 7-5 standing inside the UFC octagon. While she has competed across multiple weight classes, she has notable success in the strawweight division, including a 2021 decision victory over current top contender Virna Jandiroba. Ribas will be aiming to bounce back, coming off consecutive losses in her two most recent fights against Rose Namajunas and Mackenzie Dern.
Ricci, with a record of 11-3, has established herself successfully in the 115-pound division since her UFC debut. She has secured six wins in eight strawweight contests after initially losing a flyweight bout in 2021. Her wins include decisions over seasoned veterans such as Gillian Robertson, Angela Hill, and Tecia Pennington. She looks to return to the win column following a defeat to Yan Xiaonan in November of last year.
