Arbeloa, who had previously described the Negreira saga as “the biggest scandal in football history,” reacted with visible amusement when confronted with Laporta’s comments.
“Who made that statement? (Laughs) Oh, yes, candidate Laporta!” Arbeloa remarked. “I believe he was the one who quadrupled the payments to Negreira. There’s truly not much more to elaborate on regarding that matter.”
Confidence Ahead of Manchester City Clash
Shifting his focus to the formidable challenge posed by Manchester City, Arbeloa passionately appealed for robust fan support at the Bernabéu. He underscored the critical role of the home crowd in what is expected to be an arduous and demanding encounter.
