Adrian Kempe of the Los Angeles Kings did not finish Monday`s game against the Seattle Kraken.
The team announced that the forward left the game in the third period and would not return because of a personal issue.
The 28-year-old played 13 minutes and 21 seconds and had four shots on goal before leaving the game.
Kings head coach Jim Hiller confirmed after the game that Kempe`s departure was for a `good reason`.
Kempe is the Kings` top scorer in goals and points this season, with 33 goals and 64 points. He is currently in the third year of a four-year, $22 million contract.
