Aaron Pico made a strong return to the winning column at UFC 327 with an impressive display against Patricio Pitbull in a highly anticipated preliminary bout.
The initial round was a fierce exchange, with Pico employing an effective striking strategy while Pitbull focused on attacking his opponent’s lead leg. Pico managed to secure a well-executed takedown in the center of the Octagon, but Pitbull quickly regained his footing and created distance.
Upon returning to their feet, Pitbull resumed his offensive pressure, mixing his strikes and landing a sharp jab that visibly affected Pico’s nose.
In the second round, Pico began to find his rhythm. He landed a powerful uppercut to Pitbull’s body, followed by another successful takedown. Shortly after, Pico landed a significant left hand that momentarily staggered Pitbull. As the round neared its end, Pico landed another right-hand strike before taking Pitbull down again and delivering a series of damaging elbows.
Pico continued his strong performance into the third round. Although Pitbull found some success in the clinch, landing several knees, it wasn’t enough to overcome the scoring deficit.
