The stage is set for the 2025 NBA Finals!
The Oklahoma City Thunder earned their place by sweeping aside the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games during the Western Conference Finals. This appearance marks the franchise`s first trip back to the NBA Finals since 2012, a team famously led by Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden.
In the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers rekindled their historical playoff rivalry with the New York Knicks, ultimately triumphing over New York in a hard-fought six-game series. For Indiana, this represents their first return to the NBA Finals since the year 2000.
Note: The NBA Finals follows a best-of-seven format with a 2-2-1-1-1 game distribution. The team with the superior regular-season record, which is Oklahoma City, will host Games 1, 2, 5, and 7 (if necessary).
